on jan 10, a freight train carrying 1,800 tons of locally produced milk from ningxia hui autonomous region departed from qingtongxia, heading south to chengxiang station in sichuan province.
this is the first scheduled milk train from qingtongxia to chengxiang launched by the lanzhou railway bureau's yinchuan freight center in 2024, which is of great significance in promoting economic and trade exchanges between regions.

this scheduled train, consisting of 52 sets of 40-foot containers, is loaded with high-quality fresh milk shipped by yili dairy co., ltd. of ningxia. with the train having entered operation, the transit time is expected to be reduced from the original 96 hours to approximately 46 hours, achieving a "one-stop" transportation process to ensure the milk arrives efficiently and effectively, thus reducing overall logistics costs.

going forward, the yinchuan freight center will strengthen cooperation with local authorities and enterprises, increase the frequency of launching scheduled container trains for various local goods, and enhance logistics service quality through multiple channels, in a bid to support the local industrial and economic development.
