business leaders, scholars, and government officials were invited to have exchange on the fields of cross-border e-commerce, trade and investment, and the digital economy. they also discussed the development of cross-border e-commerce in countries along the belt and road, as well as the deep integration and cooperation between china and the global market.
at the summit, 11 projects were signed, with the total investment amount reached 2.16 billion yuan (about $295.29 million).
china's cross-border e-commerce has developed rapidly over these years, with the advantages and potential of "buying globally and selling globally" continuously being promoted. as of august 2023, the yinchuan cross-border e-commerce pilot zone has accumulated a total transaction volume of 6.15 billion yuan. from january to august 2023, yinchuan city achieved a cross-border e-commerce transaction volume of 1.34 billion yuan, accounting for 16.49% of the city's total import and export value, with a year-on-year growth of 60.17%.
from sept 21st to 24th, the cross-border e-commerce exhibition was also held in yinchuan. this exhibition attracted well-known companies nationwide, exhibiting over 1,800 products. through various forms such as special exhibitions, vr virtual reality technology demonstrations, on-site interactive experiences, and promotions of characteristic e-commerce products, the exhibition showcases the achievements of cross-border e-commerce markets in china and arab countries as well as their development in yinchuan, ningxia. it would accelerate the integration of cross-border e-commerce platform technology and innovation into the yinchuan cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone and promote its high-quality development.
